【案例3】在教学牛津英语(译林新版)七年级上册Unit 6《Food and lifestyle》 中Reading板块时,授课老师首先通过“魔力眼”让学生根据老师所画的图片猜一猜What's this?激活学生的知识经验,然后要求学生阅读文本找出What do they eat? How do they live? 让学生迅速找寻文本的重要信息,然后通过true or flase进行判断,引导学生关注细节信息,并在细节阅读的过程中带领学生分辨词语healthy/ fit等,并通过练习进行巩固。

【分析及解决措施】案例中,授课老师将课堂教学的重点放在“阅读技能的训练”和“习题练习”中,而忽视了对学生语用能力的培养。笔者在教学中进行了改变:在通过魔力眼迅速“温故知新”后,老师可以通过表格的方式带领学生展开阅读活动,在学生寻找信息、填写表格的过程中让学生读、理解词语,训练学生联系上下文有效理解词语的能力;接着老师通过问题Whose lifestyle is healthy?引导学生展开交流和讨论,让学生积极运用所学语言展开交流和运用,然后让学生制定“the healthy lifestyle”,并进行介绍,评选出“最佳生活顾问”,让学生联系生活实际展开语言实践,课堂变得妙趣横生。

在初中英语课堂教学中应当不断加强对课堂教学的研究,“坚守课堂阵地,打好课堂战役”,改变“知识中心”,激发学生对英语学习的积极情感;改变“书本中心”,关注学生的生活实际,让学生学习“活”的语言;改变“考试中心”,引导学生灵活语言运用,让学生“学活语言”,才能真正有效地落实英语课程的教学目标。

这样既复习旧知识,又巩固了课堂用语。我认为学案教学导入的设计要运用有意注意和无意注意相互转化的规律,利用学生的年龄特点和好奇心,根据语言材料的特点来进行,教学才能收到良好的效果。

二、创设情境表演导入

创设教学情境,是英语教学中常用到的一种方法。教师要善于创设情境来激发学生主动探求知识的欲望,让教学过程的始终有一种无形的吸引力,吸引学生主动地投入到学习当中去,从而主动获取知识。

教学中根据教学内容,由教师设计动作表演,从而准确切入主题。如教学七年级下册Unit5 I’m watching TV. 教师说 Look at me. Listen to me carefully 然后边在黑板上写字边说:“I’m writing.” 再手拿杯子做喝水状说“I’m drinking”接着指着一名正在听课的女生说 “She is listening to me” 最后让一男生站起来,并说“He is standing”这样让学生初步认识现在进行时,为学习本单元内容打下基础。

三、设置悬疑问题导入

有明确的教学目的是一堂好课的首要条件。在学情正常的情况下,我通常采用轻松、自然的提问,对话形式来吸引学生的注意力,调动思维,激发兴趣,从而顺利导入所学内容。在教学九年级课文内容时我常设置What, who, how, why等问题。例如Unit12阅读语篇You’re supposed to write quickly. 我在学案中出示以下问题:

(1)What is e-mail English? Why do you people use it?

(2)What are the two types of e-mail English?

(3)How do people use punctuation marks?

(4)When is the proper time to use e-mail English?

然后要求学生自读课文并更根据课文内容,回答问题。这样让学生带着问题去学习,顺利完成学案中相关内容。

四、形式多样媒体导入

教师通过多媒体的直观效应设计出相应的交际情境或课件或录音等,创设有意义的语言情境以引起学生的注意力,引导学生通过观察和思维进入新的学习内容。

在教学七年级上Unit6 Do you like bananas?我先提问what’s your favourite fruit?让学生可用汉语说出水果名称,教师拿着实物如:香蕉 banana、苹果:apple、桔子orange、鸡蛋egg等等,接着又问学生:Do you like bananas(apples、oranges、eggs)教会学生说:yes ,I do,然后教师说:Here you are。同时把实物递给学生。这样学生感兴趣,很快学会单词,并能进行交际。目前,可利用的电化教学已非常丰富,教师在导入新课时可以有选择地使用多媒体技术,借助声音,颜色和动感画面增强教学的趣味性和吸引力。例如我在教学七年级下册unit3 Do you like koalas?我制作了flash课件,让学生置身于动物世界的王国,从而高效地完成学案教学。

五、因材施教贴近生活

作为英语教师,我们要给学生提供贴近生活、贴近时代、内容健康的课程资源,使学生尽可能多地从不同渠道,不同形式接触并学习英语,直接体验语言及运用语言。而在实际的英语教学中,由于英语不是我们的母语,缺少实践环境,学生常常只能在课堂上朗读,而不能用于平时的生活中,英语便成了机械的知识而不是鲜活的语言。我认为,对话活动是解决这一问题的有效途径。例如教学九年级Unit1How do you study for a test? 我做了如下安排:

“Do you have any difficulty in learning English?” “Yes.”

“In fact, it’s not easy to learn language, but we should know how to learn it.…”“Do you often make flashcards?” “Why not work with friends?”

一、初中英语学科教学现状及新课改要求

(一)初中英语学科教学现状

现阶段,因教学资源限制,多数初中英语教学仍以大班进行统一授课。而为了方便课堂管理及教学,英语教师多会选择传统的课堂教学方法。教师板书讲解课文中的相关知识点或语法,学生根据老师划出的重点做笔记;教师或录音机领读课文、单词,学生跟读记忆;教师提问,学生回答。总而言之,课堂氛围单调,教学程序机械。

(二)新时期下课程标准要求

2011年修改版初中英语课程标准中明确指出现阶段的英语课程教育的任务为:培养学生学习英语的兴趣,树立学生学习英语的自信心,发展学生自主学习能力,促使学生养成良好的学习习惯,以为其终身学习和发展打下坚实基础。

二、信息技术促进初中英语学科教学的实践研究

(一)教学实验方案设计

1.研究对象:本次研究主要选取七年级班为研究对象;教学内容:以人教版七年级下册第三课时SectionA1a至-GrammarFocus为教学内容。

课堂首先围绕“get to school”这一话题展开词汇(1a)、听力(1b)、口语(1c)训练。而后于听力(2a、2b)及情境口语训练(2c)下,强化学生对于“How do you get to school”的理解,以及加深其对各种交通工具英文表达法的认识。

2.教学目标

掌握重点词汇:take,subway,hay,walk,train,forty,fifty,sixty,seventy,eighty,ninety,hundred,minute.掌握重点句子:How do you get to school?I get to school by bus .

能力目标:提高学生英语听说能力,可以恰当的表达如何去到一个地方,而通过对各种交通方法的学习,能够结合实际对现实生活中的事情进行推理。

教学难重点:保证学生熟练应用"How do you get to school?I get to school by bus."句型。

3.教学方法

传统黑板板书教学、放映幻灯片及视频短片,组织学生模拟情景对话。

4.教学过程设计

首先,引入话题"How do you get to school?",而后教师播放短片,请学生于观看的时候注意每个人使用的交通工具,再次播放影片,由学生跟着影片学习各种交通工具的表达方式。如此设计的目的在于可以让学生观看轻松娱乐的短片激起学生学习英语的兴趣,一般而言,在生动有趣的情景中,学生更易于接受新的词汇,提高自主参与学习的主动性。其次,创设情景,请学生踊跃发言说明自己前往学校的方式或使用的交通工具,针对性简要介绍该种交通方式的英语表达方式,可使用动词短语或固定搭配,如:向学生讲解 "How do you get to school every day? By bike,by bus or by car?"说明该项句式中所含有的短语 "get to school",是意指“到学校”,强调的是到学校的结果。该教学环节设计的主要目的在于利用课堂最初的高效率时间集中学习词汇和动词短语,教师还可于单词和短语教读过程中,播放PPT,以便强化学生影像记忆。再次,巩固新学词汇。教师应用PPT快闪播放图片或者新词汇,如果出现图片,则要求学生说明它指代的英文单词或短语;如果出现单词,则可要求学生大声朗读出来以强化记忆。在该阶段的教学过程中,为了活跃课堂气氛,激发学生学习兴趣,可将常规课堂教师提问环节换置成为抢答环节。第四步,听力练习和口语练习。教师先使用录音机或多媒体播放1b的录音两遍,学生按照书本要求回答完问题之后,运用PPT指导学生订正答案。而后,用PPT向学生展示清晨学校门口同学们之间对话的图片,可指导学生还原场景,以便学生更为熟练的掌握用英语提问及其答语。最后,课堂练习及总结归纳。按照上述同样的方法将家讲解完2a及2b的内容后,为消除学生做练习题的枯燥感,可将学生们课堂练习册用投影仪展示出来,由学生纠正,但是不应表明练习册所属学生姓名。课堂最后,教师可使用PPT帮助学生简要回顾一下本节课的主要学习内容和文章重点。

(二)教学实施过程

于七年级中抽取两个班级,分别为七(二)班及七(五)班。以七(二)班为实验班,以七(五)班为对照版,两个班级学生成绩及人数等一般资料均比较无统计学意义,P>0.05,具有可比性。七(二)班按照上述教学实验方案设计为内容,按步骤依序施行。七(五)班同样以人教版七年级下册第三课时SectionA1a至-GrammarFocus为教学内容,但是应用传统的教师评价,学生自主学习的教学方案。

(三)实验效果判定与分析

设计问卷调查时表,组织学生进行问卷调查。调查的内容主要包含:学生在英语信息化教学下的情况、学习英语的兴趣是否有提升、知识掌握情况、自学能力及和合作学习能力是否得以强化、对英语信息化教学的评价。对实验所得数据就问卷调查内容进行综合处理和分析,得出有价值的结论。

1.学生问卷分析

调查研究分别在七年级实验班和对照版师生群体中展开,结果显示,实验班学生会主动运用信息化手段辅助学习,学习的积极性也有显著提升。学生调查问卷见表1。

2.英语教学中学生学习兴趣培养、自主学习能力及合作学习能力的教学实验分析

以学习兴趣可课堂氛围为兴趣培养的评价指标,以自主性和自主讨教人数比例为自主学习能力的衡量指标,以小组讨论和组间讨论为合作学习能力的衡量指标,每个指标均设立5个标准,分数分别为2、4、6、8、10分。两个班级评定结果如表2所示。

由上表可知,实验班学生学习兴趣、自主学习能力及合作学习能力均显著优于对照班,两者差异比较具有统计学意义(P

三、结束语

结合研究结果可知,信息技术应用于初中英语学科教学,可提高学生参学习兴趣,提升自主学习能力及合作学习能力,为当前初中英语教学过程中值得广泛推广的一种教学手段。但是显然信息化教学质量与每所学校的教学条件及教师信息化水平也存有一定联系,故而,大范围推广信息化英语教学仍有一定难度。

二、音乐营造气氛,渐入学习佳境

贝多芬说过:“音乐是比一切智慧、一切哲学更高的启示。”一段富有表情的对话、短文,再配上优美的音乐,让静止的、一成不变的文字变成丰富多彩的对话交流情境,可以启迪学生的智慧,丰富学生的想像力,让学生感到学习的乐趣。仁爱版英语八年级下册中Unit 5 Topic 1 Section C,教师可播放优美动听的乐曲《The Soud of Music》,悦耳的歌曲营造轻松愉快的气氛,创设出家庭中欢快生活的情景,师生在情景中富有表情地开展教师自编的对话,让学生在不知不觉中进入学习佳境,从而轻松体验the Von Trapp family 的生活情景。

三、结合教材巧设“景”,身边事物皆角色

看得见摸得着的东西是学生最容易认知的。教师应该根据学习需要,尽量用一些易于准备的或家庭日用品作道具,特别是让学生和事物合理担当角色,结合教材内容巧设情景。如仁爱版英语教材八年级下册中的 Unit7 Topic2中,要求学生把家中的米饭、蛋、小锅、锅铲、菜饭等炊具带到课堂,并根据本文所需准备相应的食物进行情景对话。表演时,要求对话双方(Kangkang and his mother)都尽量用新学的词汇、短语和表示制作食物过程的表达来进行交流。这样,既让学生亲身体验了食物的制作过程,同时也让学生熟悉了对话内容。如:Mom, I will make fried rice for our food festival.First…,Then…,Next…,Fimally…等等。

四、生活场景当材料,加强互动练能力

生活中的小片段,电视栏目往往是情景模拟的好素材。如果要进行日常用语的教学,教师可引导学生来一次现场模拟“警察办案”“实话实说”等,让学生分别扮演警察和采访对象等,运用英语进行对答。例如,仁爱版八年级英语下册中的Unit6 Topic2,在学习过去进行时态时,可让学生几人一组搞一个警方对前一晚上盗窃案的调查活动,一人扮演警察,其余学生扮演群众(盗窃犯就在其中)。警察:What were you doing yesterday evening?群众:I was watching TV at home?或I was having supper in a restaurant…最后直到警察发现破绽找到真正的盗窃犯为止。这既训练了学生的口语,又增强了学生的生活体验。

众所周知,备课是教师能否上好课的前提,也是能否迅速提高教学水平的主要环节。我们在备课中做到了两个吃透,即吃透教材和吃透学生,为了发挥教师的集体智慧我们集体备课,做到了六个统一:统一划分课时;统一确定学习目标;统一自学指导;统一每节课的几学几教;统一课堂作业;统一阶段评估。

2、科学安排教学课程

我们在备课时,根据自己学生的情况,在教材编写意图的基础上,以教材为载体,创造性地整合教材,把教材的内容进行适当的调、组、改、增、删这样的整合,整合后的教材调动了教与学双方的积极性。

2.1“调”和“组”指调整教学内容的顺序,将相关话题进行整合,使其内容更符合学生的兴趣和能力需要,以引导学生更有效地学习。这个调整可是单元之间的,即单元的先后顺序可以调整,如七年级下册的Unit 8 I’m watching 中华励志网 TV ,我在看电视,他在读书,妈妈在做饭等,我们不妨提前学这一单元,因为在生活中,同学们可以运用本单元所学的知识来进行交流,如A问 What are you doing ? B答I’m eating an apple 等。不同的进程也可有不同的安排。上册书我们提前结束了,当时我们预算到下学期的时间紧张,于是我们在春节前就开始了下册的教学,当时,同学们已学的筋疲力尽,又复习了两周,怕引起学生的腻烦心理,我们把下册书关于动物的第三单元学了,由于孩子们平时就爱看《动物世界》节目,备课时我们找出有关动物的图片以供课上用,这样的安排激发了学生的学习热情,效果确实不错。

调整也可以是课内的,譬如重新调整和组合某一节中几个部分的顺序,例如:七年级下册第四单元 Section 6中就可把3a、3c、3d放到一块讲和练,讲的同时学习其中的新单词,通过练习单词引入句型What do you do ?进而引入句型Where do you work ?最后引入What do you want to be ?和 Why do you want to be ?并让学生写出自己将来想干什么,这样集中练习,即巩固了单词,又掌握了句型,同时也给学生提供了一次合作学习的机会,把1b、2a、2b组合到一块,强化集中训练听力,更能提高听的效率,这样整合的教材在45分钟内同学们把单词轻松掌握了,句型会灵活运用了,听力也得到了训练。一节课中,听、说、读、写都能得到充分的训练,只是须老师课前要备好课,在知识的讲解和展示上,要征服学生,课堂确实能达到快乐高效。

2.2“改”、“增”、“删”也是我们灵活处理教材常用的一种教学方式。如九年级的Unit 6,Section B中要求写出你最喜欢的乐队的名字,由于我们班大多数学生没有他们喜欢的某个乐队(band),我们就把乐队改为了演员(actor),这样也可激发孩子们的兴趣。

除整合教材外,我们根据学生的入学基础和教材特点,统一划分课时,我们现在的教学,七年级一般是三到四课时,Section A、Section B各一课时,练习与讲评是一课时,个别单元难点多时可能要用上四课时。

以七年级下册Unit 8为例:

第一课时:词汇课,集中识词;

第二课时:听说课,完成Section A和Section B的3b, 要求学生掌握一般过去时态的结构和动词形式的变化,会从口头上运用一般过去时态表达自己的想法;

第三课时:读写课,完成Section B的3a部分和58页的Part 3,使学生从听、说、读、写几方面灵活运用一般过去时态。

八年级上册我们一般用4课时,下册由于多了Reading 这一部分,又加了1个课时。

九年级也是用5个课时,第一课时,集中处理单词,Section A、Section B、Reading各一课时,第5课时,用3——5分钟把一单元的要点难点和同学们一起系统一下,然后同学们进行静心做题,最后老师用10—15分钟精讲。

课下同学们参照我们县编制的学案进行预习、复习、练习,习题稍多时,由老师提前精选而定。目的就是让老师必须带着整合的目光去审视教学内容,制定教学目标,灵活地、创造性地使用教材,科学安排教学过程,简中求精,打造高效课堂。
